Luego de un mes de retrasado, finalmente tenemos a los ganadores de los Billboard Music Awards, siendo Post Malone quien aseguró la mayoría de las nominaciones. La ceremonia tuvo que haber ocurrido el pasado 29 de abril, pero debido al COVID-19 se pospuso. Llevado a cabo en el Dolby Theatre en Los Angeles, la ganadora de American Idol, Kelly Clarkson fue la host del evento, siendo el tercer año consecutivo que ocupa esta posición.

Post Malone consiguió un total de 16 nominaciones, ganando 9 de estos. Malone también fue reconocido como el artista más top, seguido por Billie Eilish y Khalid, el polémico y ahora candidato a la presidencia de Estados Unidos (esto no es un chiste), Kanye West, también logró un puñado de nominaciones relacionadas al góspel y al cristianismo. Para esta ceremonia cantaron en vivo artistas como el mismo Malone, Alicia Keys, Maluma, Bad Bunny, Sia, entre otros.
